Posting blog excerpts from subdomain to main domain

I have a multisite WP installation at https://www.ozbizonline.com.au – a development site. I have a blog installed on a subdomain at gsq-blog.ozbizonline.com.au. I would like excerpts from the last 5 blog entries on the subdomain to be posted to the From The Blog area on the Home page of the main site. At the moment I have nothing in From The Blog as I am unsure if this requires a widget or something else. Can this be done and if so, what is the best way?
