Posting by e-mail with embedded JPGs and hyperlinks

I frequently capture a portion of a screen and paste it into an e-mail to write about it. Since I can’t paste a picture into a post, I tried to do it via e-mail but found the built in php didn’t work with godaddy’s web server, and Postie seemed to choke on even a simple HTML e-mail with text and just one hyperlink. When I tried posting as plain text, I got a SQL error when it tried to insert the post into the database.

What are people using for this purpose, I can’t be the only one who wants the ease of pasting a picture without saving it, naming it, browsing to it, and uploading it, and linking to it?
