Posting code with backslashes

  • Hi

    What is the correct way to post code with backslashes on WordPress?

    If I put them directly, they are replaced by some special character. If I put them preceded by a backslash, it works until my next edit, when they are replaced by just one, and then, when saving, replaced again by some special character.

    Thanks for any hint.
    To have a blog on programming this way is quite difficult

    Googling a little I found up on some blog that to use the XML entity for the backslash is a solution. Unfortunately that user didn’t try to re-edit his post, or he would get the backslash again, instead of the XML entity, and thus, when saving the post, it would get lost.

    Well, let me continue googling around.
