• A fellow co-worker is having on and off trouble (more on than off) when trying to post to WordPress these days. Somestimes it let’s her post the text fine, but gives the error when trying to add images, but sometimes it won’t even allow her to post text. It will look like it is working for a few moments, then she gets a windows error message stating:

Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site https://www.myowneyes.org/wp-admin/post-new.php. Operation Aborted.

Any ideas what is causing this? Of the four people posting to the blog, she is the only one having this issue.

I take that back about her being the only one with an issue. I always use Firefox, so never thought about it, but I tried editing a post today in IE 7, and I got a similar error message. So it is not an issue with her computer only.

I installed WordPress version 2.6.2 in IE 7.0 (Brazilian portuguese) receiving same error message and couldn’t write and edit post and pages. News links, categories etc could be written and edited.

I installed the Firefox default configuration (Brazilian portuguese) and now everything works.

Thank you very much for the help! Lineu

I installed WordPress version 2.6.2 in IE 7.0 and also can’t write a new post. I get the error message “Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site https://www.domainname.com/wp-admin/post-new.php. Operation Aborted.”

But I can write posts using FF 3.0.1.

Is there anyone that can debug this issue? I’m having the same trouble. I use Firefox myself, so it hasn’t been an issue, but subscribers to my blog who use Internet Explorer can’t post….

I figured out what our problem was…sorry I never got back to post it. I found (from reading another similar issue on the forum), that the Podpress plug-in might be linked to the issue. I deactivated it, and everything works fine for us all.
