Posting Error

    When posting the page lingers for some time then returns either the login page or this error

    you attempted to edit a post that doesn’t exist. perhaps it was deleted?

    Everything else is fine. It’s just posting.

    I have optimized and repaired all tables in the database, and cleaned out the wp_options table for any lingering lines. Also deleted all non-critical plugins. Only one plugin was added one day before errors began, and it was deleted.

    I don’t know what to do, but I know it’s bogging authors down.
    I have seen that others have had similar issues.

    Update. The only time there is a problem is if the post is set to public. Which, obviously, is a fairly large problem.

    I forgot to mention that I also disabled all ping notifications in posts, and the standard pingomatic.com feature in posting.

    I wanted to avoid the update to 2.9, but I did and it solved the problem.
