    Hi

I’m trying to set up a site to feature my cartoons. I’m thinking about having a single post occupying the top, middle area (one column), with two columns of previous blog posts (with previous cartoons) below.

All of which on the same page. Is this possible – and will it self populate the two column posts as I post a new cartoon in the top one each time?

I like the way theoatmeal.com has his set up – that’s the way I’d like to do it too – including a sidebar.

    Would greatly appreciate any help..

  • This is possible with Elementor Pro’s Posts widget or Archive template or various 3rd party plugins that let you control post grid layouts. I don’t recall which of the many other plugins have those features, as there are quite a few Elementor-related plugins these days.

Thanks @cavalierlife – I had a feeling that the posts widget would be the way to go.. just wasn’t sure if it would be able to do exactly what I had in mind as described above.

I’m also quite nervous about doing anything for fear of breaking what little I’ve done already. I’m quite the noob..

    Hi again @cavalierlife

I’m just replying here because I ca’t find a way to post a new topic/question in the forum. Could you please help me? I can’t find a ‘post new topic’ link or button anywhere and I don’t remember how I started this one.

Go here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/elementor/ and then scroll all the way to the bottom. The new thread form is there.

Thanks again @cavalierlife – I’ll give the link a go in a minute. I’m finding all of this rather daunting. The last time I made a WordPress site was in 2012 and it appears that I’ve forgotten everything that I learned then. Also – using this new fangled Elementor thing is further rattling my feeble mind.

You wouldn’t happen to know how to how to stop the post from displaying the date, author and whether it’s categorised or not? I can’t seem to turn it off.
