posting into individual categories

Hi all,

I’m very new to WordPress and am a bit stuck. What I’m trying to do is set the site up so that when I post an item, rather than it appearing on the main page it only appears in the category that I have assigned it to. The reason for this is that I want to set up a reviews section, but I don’t want all my reviews to show up on the main page, I only want people who click on the reviews category button to be able to see them.

Is this possible?
