postmeta table in database missing
-
Hello,
Couple of weeks ago one of the two installations our website has was deleted. This cause the website to go crash. The theme creator put the site back up and running, however the site has now issues: ie. menu can’t be edited in wp dashboard, and some of the pages that listed our products are missing images, products. After spending hours looking at the DB as well as using the browser inspector on some pages, I noticed the postmeta-table is not in the DB.
I do have a .gz back up file from 8 months ago. Can I just upload the .gz file to the location in the DB? Will this create any conflict with other tables that may not be compatible with and then cause the site to crash again? Do I need to convert/prepare this file into something before uploading?
Any help will be appreciated, btw I am not an expert in coding or WP.
thanks
