PostNL plugin vs checkout fields issue
-
Hallo,
Wanneer er gebruik wordt gemaakt van de Postcode checker plugin van WpOvernight komt het huisnummer dubbel op de pakbon. Ik heb dit probleem voorgelegd aan WpOvernight en ze hebben gereageerd:
We have now tested a few things and unfortunately the problem does not seem to be completely solvable from our side. The PostNL plugin does not seem to take into account the fact that other plugins can also hook into the checkout fields. And if you use the PostNL checkout fields for house number and street name (with our zip code checker disabled), the values of these fields are not neatly combined back into the standard WooCommerce ‘address_1’ field. This is problematic for third party plugins that want to hook into the WooCommerce address data and expect the full address to be found in the ‘address_1’ field. Unfortunately, the PostNL plugin also does not offer filters to adjust any values. So there are quite a few problems.
A workaround would be for us to add a filter to the PostNL plugin, and provide you with a small code snippet in your functions.php or via a plugin like Code Snippets that will fix the issue. The problem with that solution is that the added filter in the PostNL plugin disappears as soon as the plugin gets an update. They will therefore really have to include such a filter in the code from their side, for a sustainable solution. I will contact the developers of the plugin in the meantime, but judging by the wait times on the forum, it can take a long time before an answer comes.
Kunnen jullie dit zo snel mogelijk oplossen? Er zijn meer plugins die gebruik maken van de checkout fields.
