posts and pages being deleted

  • I’m having problems where my posts and pages are being deleted!

    I randomly checked one of my sites and there are no longer posts or pages.

    What could this be?

    Also, on this same site, it is not allowing me to publish a post. It is showing me the submit for review button.

    I am the admin with publishing privileges. I posts both of my problems because I believe they maybe the same problem.

    I’ve ran through the basic plugin trouble shoots. What else can I do?

  • Hi boxoun. Based upon the two issues that you have, it sounds to me that someone may have compromised your website and became the administrator.

    If there is another administrator, then they would have the ability to remove posts and pages that you’ve previously published. They would also have the ability to remove publishing rights for yourself, and that is why you see a “submit for review button” instead “publish”.

    I suggest taking a look at your user settings in WordPress and check if you’re still listed as an Administrator. Let us know how it goes!
