Posts and pages content no longer showing after 4.6 update

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Ive been using TwentyFourteen for 2 years so switching a theme like that is not simple. Are there any knows plugins that cause such problems? I am going to try it soon and report.

The Twenty Fourteen theme was updated to version 1.8 at the same time as WP 4.6. Did you update it as well?

I flipped my blog over to Twenty Fourteen and it worked fine. Are you using a Twenty Fourteen child theme? Perhaps something in the child theme is no longer compatible?

I am using a child theme, yes but I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this. I backed up my website before the update so Im on the old version now. Can you suggest what could be causing this?

I updated the theme before updating to 4.6, yes. I dont think its a plugin, could it be something in style.css or just the child theme?

I will tell you the odd part. When im logged in everything looks fine. The problem is when I logout, then the problem starts.

Updated to 4.6 through Admin Interface – have one site that is now blank. One running fine.

Neither are allowing login through Admin now. Others are slowly posting have similar issues after update to 4.6

Can you confirm that for a fact by deactivating all the plugins? Just because it happened after the update doesn’t mean it’s not one particular plugin that’s no longer compatible.

I had this same issue. I deactivated all the plugins and it didn’t make a difference. Apparently there was an update for my theme that I had to manually update (no auto updates were available). I would suggest checking to see if all your plugins and themes are fully up to date.
