posts appear in non existant catagory?

I am having a major issue with 1.5.1.3. All my posts from a blogging program end up in “uncatagorized”. This catagory (the default) was renamed to something else. Despite that posts continue to end up there in uncatagorized. In manage, there is no uncatagorized catagory. Plus if i go to manage and edit the posts show up as being non exsistant, yet show up on the main page.

I know what to do this doesn’t happen with previous versions.
