Posts Appearing in the Wrong Order

I would say that unless you have a plugin conflict, that there is a theme error.
Did you try to disable all plugins first ?
or install a different theme to check?

I have been using the post types order plugin for a while but that hasn’t been a great solution because I have to manually publish and then reorder the posts and they still don’t show correctly in the rss feed so I am going to try the query functions you suggested.

Just so I am clear, would the template code you send the links to be added to the child theme’s functions.php file?

You can modify this function to remove the is_home() paramter:
function wpb_custom_query( $query ) {
if( $query->is_main_query() && ! is_admin() && $query->is_home() ) {

and replace it with is_page, then insert your page ID like this:
is_page (‘ 4444 ‘)

Thanks! I modified that slightly so that it would apply to all the pages (they had several blog pages) and I think that seems to have fixed the default order, thank you so much! I will continue to monitor the blog and make sure that the new posts continue to appear in the correct order.

We will also do an RSS test to see if that feeds correctly as well. If anything else pops up or relapses I will let you know. Thank you so much for your help and patience!
