• Our website’s blog page [ redundant link removed ] is somehow displaying all posts in reverse order (aka oldest to newest). Our RSS feed is also populating from oldest to newest (/feed/). This change has just been happening in the last month or so and was working fine up until then.

Even when we pull in the posts using a ‘recent post’ Gutenburg or Kadance block they appear in the wrong order. If I manually set them to display oldest first then it flips and shows the newest first. However, the dates all seem to order properly (either asc or desc) except that the most recent 3 or 4 get mixed up and I have to use a special plugin like Custom Post Order to reorder them maually. It will appear to work for a while and then the order shifts again.

Is there anything in a multisite setup that would cause this? Is there a way to straighten it out in the functions.php file using a special function?

For reference, we are running WP version 5.7.2 in a multisite installation.
