Posts are Published in Wrong Chronological Order

Hi: I just downloaded this theme for a site. It’s not publishing the order correctly for my posts. It’s publishing the first post first, not the most recent post. I went to the posts page and reversed the arrow in the date column, and that didn’t help. Is this a problem with the theme? How can I fix it. I posted dummy posts to create multiple posts and the order is still off. I see no setting features. WordPress themes by default should always show the latest past first, right? Is is this a bug in the theme? Thank you.
