Posts aren’t translated after migrating to a new site

  • I have a WordPress site that I transferred to another using the Tools > Export/Import method. Everything looks fine but the translation that I made (EN > CN) seems the same on all of the posts.

    For example I have 5 EN posts that are translated to CN, if I change the language to EN, I should only see 5 EN posts. Instead, I see all EN 10 posts including CN posts with CN content (like on “Show all language mode”). Meaning I have to change the language of the CN post to CN so that they won’t appear when I switch to EN mode.

    It looks easy if you only have 5 posts but if you have more than a hundred, it’s hard to go thru all posts 1 by 1 to change all of them

    Why did this happen and how to change it back to original?
