• Hi, we’re in the process of developing a site where the URLs have to match a previous site exactly. Their blog post was in the following format:

    /blog/2017/july/11/post-name/

Is there an easy way to change the month number format that is standard with WordPress to show the month name eg. january, july, september.

We’ve found a plugin but it’s out of date, and doesn’t like the fact that we’re adding in “/blog/” to the permalink.

Thank you for the link! Unfortunately we’re still having issues with this. We thought perhaps a way around it would be to set the word “blog” as a category for all posts, with the permalink structure:

    /%category%/%year%/%monthname%/%day%/%postname%/

    So it would then read:

    /blog/2017/january/22/post-name

But it keeps throwing 404 errors. Any ideas?
