My wordpress posts and sidebar on my main page have disappeared. My site was hacked a few days ago and I have re-FTPed all the files on my local computer from Dreamweaver up to the server. Everything is working as expected on every other page in my site, even though several of the other pages are “pages” in WordPress. The posts and sidebar on the other WordPress “pages” are working just fine. Main WordPress page is showing up as an old page I had before I started using WordPress.

I did some searching and tried the database repair in the Cpanel, but that didn’t change anything.

Also my WordPress posts that use to be on the main page are showing up just fine in the WordPress dashboard.

Does this sound familiar? Any suggestions on how I can start to fix this? Is there a trick to get WordPress to resend all of the files/posts that are for the main page to my database?

Any help or advise is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • One issue could be a theme. Or a plugin.

Have you tried deactivating all plugins and changing to the WordPress Default theme?

I reinstalled, changed back to all defaults and nothing happened.

It turns out I had an index.html file in my main folder that was keeping my index.php (wordpress created) from being accesses.

    Thank you!
