Posts disappeared

  • Logged into my blog this AM and all my posts have disappeared. I haven’t installed any new updates or plug-ins in a while so it’s puzzling.

    I went back into the posts that had been categorized and they now show them as Un-categorized. When I try to re-categorize them and update, they will not take. Can’t determine the problem.

    Have you tried:
    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – updating your permalinks by choosing the default permalink structure or re-saving your current structure at Settings > Permalinks in your admin panel. WordPress will rebuild the .htaccess file. If WordPress cannot automatically edit the .htaccess file, it will provide manual instructions after saving.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress by using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    You know, I didn’t try what you suggested but had a thought. I had changed my permalink structure before all this occurred. I didn’t think it would effect anything at the time, but have a suspicion this is what occurred.

    I finally deleted all my categories and menu structure and started over from scratch. So far, everything looks good, but have not finished as yet. Another thing that occur ed however was that I lost my two video feeds? I don’t know what caused those to disappear and have not had time to try to reinstall. Will keep your suggestions at hand, if this does not work.
