Posts don’t appear immediately :)

Hi all!

Small issue: if I send posts to my WordPress blog they don’t appear immediately. I use Ecto. Sending from Ecto to my old blog (which was Movable Type) works okay, and if I simply point my broswer to the likely URL of the new post in my WordPress blog the post appears, so the database records it ……. but it doesn’t appear on my frontpage as a new post (or only appears after some hours) ??

Can anyone help?

I’m sure this top has come up before, but I tried searching this forum and either there’s a problem with my computer or the search function is down because I was getting no returns.
