Posts fail to publish if using the Gutenberg plugin

  • ** Note, I have not extensively tested this issue yet I’m posting for reference and info **

    When using the Gutenberg plugin 2.8.0, posts fail to publish if Better Yourls is activated. The Yourl is created, I can see it when I go in to the classic editor and can publish the post from there.

    As noted above I need to do some more testing on this and other plugins, but as Gutenberg is coming, better to put this out there.

    I’ll add more once I get an hour to do more testing

  • Ah HA! That’s why I always get the “Publishing Failed” message in Gutenberg, even though it actually didn’t fail!

    (In my case, publishing is actually successful. But the message is mildly irritating.)
