Posts have all become "uncategorized"

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Yes…I have just done all that including resetting the plugins folder but without success.

    I also tried changing permalinks back to default and then resetting to the above, but still no success.

    Hmmm, any other suggestions?

    I had the same problem today, all my posts in
    https://www.koodakcity.com/
    turned to uncategorized all of sudden
    and it did not allowed me even change the categories manually.

    BUT all of sudden it was fixed, and I don’t know how!

    I did not do anything but rebooting my server, as I was perparing a backup before I realize this uncategorized issue.

    I did not touch the plugins or so, but it fixed itself, somehow!
    If anyone knows what is the cause, I am curious to know. ??
