You would probably have to edit your theme’s stylesheet and possibly one of its template files but, without seeing the page in question, I couldn’t really say for sure.

I’d recommend creating a child theme with a loop-index.php that includes a unique class on each post to allow them to be floated left with a width of approx 50%.
