Posts in ascending order, MySQL version issue?

    In our test environment the posts displayed in proper order, newest first. Once we transferred to the live host provider they started showing up oldest first.

    I read this thread that identified MySQL 5.0.51 as a potential issue and the host is using 5.0.51a.

    That thread is a) old and b) suggested that updating to the lastest version of WordPress could solve the issue. We’re running the latest version of WP.

    Has a workaround been identified? I’d like to avoid having to ask the host to update which could take a while.
