Install a plugin called link within. This will bring up the posts with their thumbnails at the bottom of the post. It searches with keywords and the categories you have put that post into and brings out related content.

Or just create a custom menu that contains links to categories.

oh so i would add custom links (used from the category links) then add these to the menu ? ill give this a go now

You don’t need to use custom links,. Just add the categories themselves to your custom menu in Appearance->Menus.

However, i seem to have problems with my loop when outputting a list of posts.

every page outputting posts (except index.php) stops after outputting one post. not sure why this is the case ?

Ive created pageofposts.php , not sure where to execute this ?

sorted this issue out, was a fault in loop.php in after the ‘if archives’ statement.
