I was sure this was working before but maybe it has never worked.

Today I renamed the two category slugs for the two sub categories I’m having an issue with so I think that might have caused the problem.

In any event, I can view all posts at Blogs but nothing when I try to get to the Sub Categories under Blogs.

This works: https://kendallt.wwwls17.a2hosted.com/BizTalkGurus.com/blogs/

Sub-categories don’t: https://kendallt.wwwls17.a2hosted.com/BizTalkGurus.com/blogs/msft-biztalk-community/

I was having an issue wtih getting a static Post when I went to the Category. These looked like /biztalk-community/biztalk-community-SomePost. So this looks like a Reg Exp / redirect issue? I solved that my just renaming the Categories.

I have tried:
– Logging out and back in
– Disabling all plug ins
– Changed a slug names
– Looked at .httaccess and didn’t see anything related to this
– Ensured I purged my cache

Anyone have an idea what I should look at next?

That looks like a 404 error.
If you updated the slugs, you may just need to re-save the permalinks to fix it.
Try going to settings -> permalinks and click save changes.

Interesting, I didn’t see it was a Not Found error in the title bar.

I tried re-saving and that didn’t work.

Its like the posts don’t think they are in that category. I even tried re-adding a few and that didn’t do it. I created a new post in that category and no luck.

If i go to the old category name, https://kendallt.wwwls17.a2hosted.com/BizTalkGurus.com/blogs/biztalk-integration/ I get redirected to a forum post that starts with biztalk-integration….. Kind of odd.

I double checked the .htaccess and don’t see anything in there. Could something else be doing a re-direct?

Maybe try re-adding the links in your navigation menu. Both category pages load fine when I take the /blogs/ out of the URL.

I tried that twice with no luck. Even tried moving Categories around and back under each other again.

It’s like it doesn’t understand it’s a sub-category under blogs.
I’m using this permalink: /%category%/%postname%/ which I think is correct.

Any other ideas?

I should also note the individual post links are correct.

They have the blogs/msft-biztalk-community in them. Just seems the Category pages are not correct.

Something else to add. If I change the Permalink to Plain (just just ID numbers and no text), everything works fine.

I’ve tried 3 or 4 other settings and they all don’t work.
