posts in wrong order

    I’m making a site for a friend and I’m stumped! The problem is, I have the front page set to show 10 latest posts, but only two of them are showing up and they are out of order. Most recent posts are not there. I used the import from blogger tool. I even tried to make the most recent post “stick” to the top, but it’s still not working. I’m using the grildline theme from graphpaperpress.com, which I customized. You can even see the list of recent posts at the bottom and that is in the correct order:

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    I deactivated all plugins and it did not help.

    I switched to Twenty Ten and everything showed up as it should.

    So, if this is a theme-specific problem and I’m using a free graphpaperpress theme with no support, am I out of luck?

    the theme seems to have a lot of settings –

    what are your settings for the front page?

    Show Featured Section- UNCHECKED (“Check this option to show the Featured Section. This section will contain a main featured post at left, with the three previous posts at right.”)

    Show Blog Section – CHECKED (with no blog category selected because I want them all to show up)

    New Tabs Section – UNCHECKED (“Check this option to show the latest posts from four chosen categories below.”)

    That’s it! This is driving me crazy. I’ve been scouring google for anything. I can find my way around html and css, but I’m not a php person.
