• So – how to best explain this…

I have a theme that is working properly (not using the post feature at all, only pages). However, i decided to make some posts for a special blog page, however when i try to view them, they are just blank pages. However, if I “view” the catorgies (see link below), they show up, but when i click in the individual posts, they again are just blank pages.

I took over this site, so not alot of exp. w/ WP. But when i setup my computer at home (using WP2 vs WP1.5 on the site) i had a similar problem untill i noticed that certain posts where using the “news.php” file that is located in my theme directory. So i uploaded the same file to the live site, but it still just shows blank pages…. I know this is kinda confusing but any help would be GREATLY apprectiated (i’m not using the index.php to blog at all) – i’ve figured alot of this out on my own, but i’m just spinning my wheels on this one….

here is the site and the one catagory that is working (you can see by clicking on the post titles that they just come up blank):

  • Could be a problem with one of your Template files. Maybe try changing your Theme to the default theme via Administration > Presentation > Themes to see if you experience the problem.

what page does it use when you choose “view” from manage posts? i think that’s where the problem lies – its just strange that it works on my home system, with the same files – at home it’s using the news.php file on my home system, but that doesn’t seem to be the case on the live site (also, the live site is ver 1.5 and my home system is 2.0)

scared to switch themes on the live site – if something goes wrong i’m toast…

Depends! Could be index.php or single.php. See Template_Hierarchy.

    MichaelH –

that was exactly what i was looking for!

the single.php page was refering to catagory 2, which doesn’t exisit!

    love – much love…
