Posts List does not Display Featured Image

When I click to view all posts, I can’t find a way to view the associated featured image (trying to see which posts don’t have one without using another plugin). When I look at screen options there is no option for featured images (see screen shot).

Maybe I’m remembering wrong, but I think I used to be able to see the featured image in the posts list.
Any thoughts?

TY for the link. However, as stated above, I’m not wanting to use another plugin. Is that possible?
So… it’s not possible without a plugin? It is possible but you’re not sure how?
Plugins can slow down a site, especially if you use too many. I try to keep it at a minimum. Besides, as stated, I thought I remember this being available in the past without a plugin. If so, was it removed? Is there an option I’m overlooking?
