• I’m setting up a new website and, as before, I have set up different Categories for my Posts. Strangely, none of my Posts will display on the Blog UNLESS I only tick ‘Uncategorised’. Then, they ALL appear in date order. I have a Static Front Page and Posts Page set as Blog.

How do I reolve this issue please?

    Sean.

I suggest contacting the support team for siterubix.com to see if there is anything special related to the system in use.

Thank you Lisa (@contentiskey), the Host can’t help as the issue appears to be with WordPress. I have the same Theme, same Host on two other Blogs without the problem. The only difference is that they are on v5.2 whereas this new Site is v5.2.2.

if you are able to install plugins try this:

install health check plugin which can be used in troubleshooting mode to deactivate all plugins and theme
might help narrow down the source of the issue

Ok Lisa, I’ve installed and run the Plugin, I have a screen shot of the results but I don’t see an attachments option here. Can you see it here: https://i.gyazo.com/9c5f454bc697aee2b315a04e86b2a238.png

Otherwise, this is what I’m able to copy:

    1 Critical issue

Background updates ensure that WordPress can auto-update if a security update is released for the version you are currently using.

Error The WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE constant is defined and enabled.
Passed No version control systems were detected.
Passed Your installation of WordPress doesn’t require FTP credentials to perform updates.
Passed All of your WordPress files are writable.
Error WordPress security and maintenance releases are blocked by define( ‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE’, false );.

    2 Recommended improvements

PHP is the programming language we use to build and maintain WordPress. Newer versions of PHP are both faster and more secure, so updating will have a positive effect on your site’s performance.

The scheduled event, recovery_mode_clean_expired_keys, failed to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended.
