Posts not locking toolbar options, screen freezing & screen options not opening!

    I DESPERATELY need some help here! All of the sudden, when I go into any of my posts to edit, my toolbar is not locked and following down the screen to select option such as, Linking, Bold, Italics, etc. If I select the word I want highlighted and scroll back up to link or bold, the screen is then freezing completely!

    Additionally, when I try and click on screen options to select or de-select some options, NOTHING is happening, nothing is opening! PLEASE help! I need to get this content rolled out today and this is seriously holding me back. I would sincerely appreciate any assistance ASAP! thank you!

    Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Thanks for your help, but i was able to find the solution and things seem to be back up and running now. Switching themes like that would never be an option, due to compatibility, color schemes, current logos, etc. That would be something that would require some time and planning. Luckily, it looks like things are back up and running. Fingers crossed they stay that way. Thank you

    Just to clarify, it would have been a momentary switch, just to see if the theme was the problem, and then switch back. Not a permanent switch. If the theme was the problem, then we would direct you on how to fix that, but first we would need to know if the theme was the problem or not. ??

    Regardless, I’m glad it’s all back in working order now. ??

    I appreciate the suggestion and didn’t mean my response to come across as rude, so I hope that was not the case. I was going to look into this more closely, if the other fix didn’t work, but thanks the heavens we are back up and running and I am hoping not to run into the same problems again.
