Category templates might be a simpler solution.

How do I us category templates if I have static text that I always need to be at the top of the page?

Add it to the category template file(s).

The static text is different on every teacher page. I have five teacher pages and all have static but different text. I just don’t see how this would work.

My solution:

Create a page template for the teacher’s pages. In there, keep the loop unchanged from your theme’s page loop.

After that loop, do a WP_Query for posts belonging to an author.
