Hey @bat-n-ball ! These arrows are part of the same HTML element as the Next and Previous links, so it’s not possible to target them via css separately. You can use a plugin that allows adding PHP code, and add a code snippet like this

add_filter('paginate_links_output', 'remove_arrows', 10, 2);

function remove_arrows($r, $args) {
    $r = str_replace('←', '', $r);
    $r = str_replace('→', '', $r);
    return $r;
}
