Posts Page – Category filter not working

  • When logged into dashboard and select a category from All Categories the filter does not bring up just that category, returns all posts – this is true for Admin and Editor roles.

    Website specs – WordPress 5.2.2 – Theme – Twenty Sixteen version 2.0

  • Have you clicked ‘Filter’ button? Just to be sure.
    How about clicking on category name text link in each posts?

    Yes clicked Filter button several times but just reverts back to All Categories.
    Clicking on category name in each post just unchecks the box.
    We have around 250 posts and counting so kind of important that we can filter posts by category. Not sure what to do about this…

    ANYBODY?? This is killing us.

    Hi.
    Have you checked if there is error.
    Change WP_DEBUG to true, in wp-config.php.
    define('WP_DEBUG', true);

    Other things I would do is to re-install WP core, and twentysixteen theme.
