    please confirm which page is selected to display posts in Settings>Reading area
    check to be sure that there is only one BLOG page created

    install health check plugin and try some of the troubleshooting tools

    Enabled troubleshooting and the blog page works. Disable it and it doesn’t work

    if that is the case, then it means that there is possibly a theme error or plugin conflict.

    you can use health check troubleshooting to narrow down the source of the problem….by activating each plugin 1 at a time until the problem shows.
    also, if the the source of the issue is modified 2017 called ‘SeventeenColt’ instead of a plugin, you can contact the theme developer for additional guidance

    be sure there is not a duplicate “blog” page lurking somewhere.

    Found the plugin (Simply Exclude) and changed the settings.
    Also there was another (hidden) blog page.
