Posts Page Header TItle Won't Update/Change

  • “entry-title” won’t change, I had a page titled “News & Events” which is the posts page in reading settings. I recently changed it to “News & Updates” it doesn’t want to change, I check with others and it’s shows them the same old title. We use the SEO plugin, so I disabled that still no change. Also I created a test page and set that as the posts page and it showed up as “News & Events” There must be something storing that old title, what do you think?

  • I have exactly the same problem for multi post, but not for single post pages. Using wordpress 4.0 and less.

    I am having this problem for any posts – they are old posts that I’ve republished. The content / body text has updated, but the title will not update.

    Just had this happen to a new site I am building.

    I copied all the data to a new page and deleted the old one page.
    Problem solved.

    Still was not able to find what was holding on to the old title and it was a “Page” I had the problem with not a “Post”
