Posts Redirect to WP Login

    Hi,

    The posts of a certain category redirect to the WP login page when clicking on them. This only happens for one category. I’ve tried this on several browsers on several computers and all the posts of one category link to the WP login. When I hover over the link, the correct URL displays, but when I click on it I am taken to the WP login page.

    I’ve tried resetting my permalink structure to no avail.

    Any idea?

  • Very difficult to troubleshoot this issue without your URL.

    Do you have any membership or Role based plugins installed?
    Is there a filter in your functions file prreventing access?

    Problem has been resolved. The culprit was a plugin that was auto updated to “Profile Press.” The new version had a permalink category set to “profile,” which caused WP confusion because my category was also called “profile.” I renamed the permalink in “Profile Press” to “userprofile” and that resolved the issue immediately.
