Posts showing in website but *not* in phpMyAdmin

    This is a very strange problem and I can safely say I’ve never encountered it before in my 5 years of working with WordPress.

    I have my personal blog with several years worth of blog posts (around 20-ish posts).

    Whenever I export the SQL file from phpMyAdmin, a few of the most recent posts are missing.

    Even more strange, I look inside the table in phpMyAdmin and search for the titles of those recent posts, and it tells me no results are returned.

    How can the posts show up fine on my website but in phpMyAdmin they are nowhere to be seen???

    I could do with getting to the bottom of it really as I am in the process of redesigning my website and cant properly finish it without exporting a copy of my db

    okay forget that! turns out my database was on another account on my reseller (but with a very similar db name).
