Posts that are set to be displayed on x date are showing up?!

So I have posts that I set to be published on date x and then hit publish. they are showing up in my loop. (maybe I am not suppose to hit publish?) either way how do I remove them from the loop?

is there a is_date_to_be_published? or something similar?
