I just installed this plugin because I was tired of Facebook pulling in random images from the website when grabbing a post. We use the NextScripts Social Networks Auto-Poster (SNAP) plugin to send posts to Facebook. That’s been working great for the past 1-2 years, and now that I’ve installed the WP Facebook Open Graph Protocol plugin, the posts that contain an image are not being sent to Facebook. The ones with no image in the post are going out just fine, with the thumbnail image I specified in the plugin settings. Any idea why this would be happening?

    thanks,
    Luann

well I’d say 1. use the debugger and view source and see what’s pulling into FB and what’s pulling into source and what’s not. Not always is FB right; not always are images in content the way the plugin loop can pull them either. without spending time looking at what other plugins are doing what and how images are in source I can’t answer anything really.

Also if that doesn’t work there’s a new version that’s in beta in github that you can download and try and see if that resolves some issues. If it does or doesn’t – please let me know – I’d like to know.

Thanks – I found that the NextScripts SNAP plug-in had an option for setting a default image, so I set that and deactivated yours (sorry), and that resolved it. I didn’t have a lot of time for troubleshooting, so it could have just been an incompatibility between these two plug-ins. Thanks for the response, though.
