• This is driving me crazy so if anyone can help that would be great. I have these example categories

    A
    B
    C

I can post articles with multiple pages within these top groups. But when I try to post a multiple-page article in a subcategory, for example

    A
    A1
    A2
    A3

in A1, A2, A3, I cannot retrieve anything other than the first page of the article. I am using the redirection plugin here:

    https://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/redirection/

And thought that this might have been the problem, but when I disable it I get the same error. HELP…

Also, I tried clearing out my cache and that had no effect.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    Hi,

I tried all you suggested, I still can’t get multiple page posts to display past page 1 when posted in subcategories. I’m confused.

OK, I didn’t solve the problem but I have somewhat isolated where it’s coming from. I had my permalinks set to custom:

    /%category%/%postname%/

When I set it back to default:

    https://website.com/?p=123

Everything works fine. I really wanted the custom permalink for my posts, how can I get it to work with multipage posts?

This also works when I have my permalinks set to custom:

    /%postname%/

So, it has to be something with my categories? but what?
