    Hello Sir,

    As subject cited above, I couldn’t generate .mo file of translation. Poedit returns the message: “Error: duplicate message definition…”

    It seems to have two entries with the same msgid:
    Theme URL & Author URL

    1. https://www.wildweblab.com
    2. https://www.wildweblab.com

    Please help me.

    Thank you!

  • Please remove last 3 lines from file icy.pot it will fix the problem.

    I will include fixed file in the next release, so others won’t run into the same problem.

    Hi,

    I never used a .pot file for a translation so this was my first attemp.

    1. I downloaded icy.pot and changed the name to
    icy-de_DE.pot
    2. I removed the last 3 lines with written text from that file.
    3. I downloaded and installed Poedit and opened icy-de_DE.pot with Poedit.
    4. Poedit asked me some stuff with plural forms and I entered
    nplurals=2; plural=(n != 1);
    from https://docs.translatehouse.org/projects/localization-guide/en/latest/l10n/pluralforms.html?id=l10n/pluralforms for german
    5. I entered the translation for “Read More” and saved the file. Poedit also created an .mo-file at this moment.
    The .pot looks now like this https://s14.directupload.net/images/130728/k7s9ypxs.png
    6. I uploaded the .pot and the .mo-file into /wp-content/themes/icy/languages
    7. I called the startpage and I can see “Read More” instead of my translation.

    – My wp-config.php has the
    define (‘WPLANG’, ‘de_DE’);

    How can I activate the translation?

    Salam alaikum idienstler,

    Translate the icy.pot using POEdit and save it as de_DE.pot not icy-de_DE.pot

    Hopefully that’s it.

    Hi Wakil Nikzad,

    thx it works now.
