potential conflict w/ Simple Avatars W3 Total Cache Rackspace CDN?

Since upgrading to 2.0 we’ve had a recurring issue where generated thumbnails (96×96) aren’t being transferred to our Rackspace CDN via W3 Total Cache anymore. The thumbnail is being generated on the server, it’s just not making its way to the CDN.
This wasn’t an issue before & no other media/attachments are affected or appear to be in conflict.
Any ideas or other people experiencing this?
