I’m running woocommerce Version 4.2.5 on WordPress 5.4.10. While going through the orders today, I noticed a critical issue with two of them. For some reason the payment by the customer was significantly lower than the order subtotal. In one order the subtotal accounted for $60, but the payment sent was only $10 and somehow the order status was Processing. The payments were processed by credit card, and there is no coupon being used. The other order had a weird discount on two products that were neither on sale nor discounted by a coupon. I’m very confused at what is happening here. I understand that the woocommerce version is old, and I am checking if my custom changes will work on the updated versions, but I wanted to ask here if anyone has ever seen such an issue (Nothing popped up when I googled) and if there were any suggestions for a fix.

    Hi @arditc ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I’m running woocommerce Version 4.2.5 on WordPress 5.4.10

Firstly, I understand that you are using a very outdated version of WooCommerce (and WordPress) and are checking if your custom changes will work on the updated versions however, in order to obtain optimal functionality, it is recommended that these be updated to their latest versions.

    https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-update-woocommerce/

Additionally, your WooCommerce Database should be updated to match the core version. This can be done via?WooCommerce?>?Status?>?Tools?>?Update database. Below is more detail documentation on this:

    https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-update-woocommerce/#woocommerce-data-update-notice

Please ensure that you have a good?backup?of your?full site and database?in place before doing the updates, so that, should something go wrong, you are able to easily restore your site to a functioning state.

Most hosting providers have this included in the subscription however, you may also consider using a service such as?Jetpack, or a plugin like?UpdraftPlus.

Lastly, in order for a better understanding of your site setup, could you please share the following:

System Status:found via?WooCommerce > Status. Select ‘Get system report’ and then ‘Copy for support’.
Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs

Once you do this, you can paste your response here.

    Thanks!

    Hi @arditc

After updating your software to the latest versions as advised above if the problem still persists please let us know. Remember to include a copy of the System Status Report in your response.

It is necessary to make sure that your hosting environment setup meets the WooCommerce Server Recommendations: https://woocommerce.com/document/server-requirements/

    Cheers

We haven’t heard back from you, so I’m marking this thread as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
