• Starting a new thread, as advised, to log this issue.

I am experiencing an error message in all of the blocks in my events.

Each block in the editor reads:

Your site doesn’t include support for the “tribe/event-datetime” block. You can leave this block intact or remove it entirely.

Except for the “Description” block, which I think is just a “Paragraph” block anyway?

Deactivating WP Go Maps fixed the issue for me.

    WP: 6.2.2
    PHP: 8.1.17
    TEC: 6.0.13.1
    Theme: Genesis Framework (child theme)

    Thanks
    Dom

    Hi @cleanpagedesign ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We have an internal bug ticket regarding the conflict between WP Go Maps and event blocks.

I have added this thread to the internal bug report, so when a fix is ready, you will receive an update.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!

    Best regards,
    Marta

We’re seeing this issue as well. A temporary workaround for us is to revert back to The Events Calendar 6.0.13. You can continue using The Events Calendar Pro 6.0.12.1 as far as we can tell. You can also us the latest version of WP Go Maps (9.0.19) and WP Go Maps Pro (9.0.20).

Not sure if this is the root cause, but the release notes for 6.0.13 include a reference to:

Fix – In block editor there were unnecessary geocode API calls being triggered for Event Venue blocks. Moved logic within stateful conditions, now it no longer runs fetch if the address has not actually changed. [TEC-4741]

There’s also a post on the WP Go Maps user forums about this issue.

    Hi there,
    ?
With our latest release of?The Events Calendar 6.1.0, we resolved an issue that caused errors when trying to change the event date that originated from a conflict with the WP Go Maps plugin. Please be sure to review our full?Release Notes?for more details and update your plugin whenever you get a chance.
    ?
We recommend that you update The Events Calendar to the latest released versions.
    ?
As always, we suggest testing updates on a staging site first and having a recent backup ready, but it should all be smooth sailing. If you implemented any workarounds, you can remove them after updating the plugins.
    ?
If you still have issues after updating to the latest releases, please open a new support thread and include as many specific details as possible.
    ?
    Have a great day,
    Events Calendar Support Team

Hi everyone, apologies bug ticket TEC-4810 regarding WP Go Maps fixes, is still in the works and has not been included in our recent release. We’d keep everyone posted as soon as we release the fix.

Again, apologies, and appreciate your patience.
    Have a great week.

    Best,
    Abz

    Internal Bug Ticket Reference:
    TEC-4810

Confirmed that the latest version of TEC and WP Go Maps still have this conflict:

The Events Calendar – Version 6.1.2.2
The Events Calendar Pro – Version 6.1.0
WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps) – Version 9.0.19
    WP Go Maps – Pro Add-on – Version 9.0.20

Just checking in to see if there’s an ETA on TEC-4810. We were using the temporary workaround mentioned in a previous comment. However, we’re trying to troubleshoot another significant issue with TEC and need to update to the latest version but can’t until the maps plugin issue is resolved as it makes the calendar plugin unusable. Thanks for any info you can pass along.

    Hi there!

We’re happy to inform you that the bug ticket TEC-4810 is finally done and fixed the issue on the Events Calendar plugin described on that forum thread.

As always, we recommend testing updates on a staging site first and keeping a recent backup, but the update should work smoothly.

Please upgrade your Events Calendar plugin to apply this fix to your site.
