Of course you can change size of this image or hide it through a css code, for instance:

.wp-gr .wp-google-powered { width: 120px !important; }
.wp-gr .wp-google-powered { display: none !important; }

If you have a default WordPress installation you can always add the additional css to code: Appearance / Header / Additional CSS.
