After using this plugin for five months, my recommendation is to avoid it. While it performs some core features well, it is not worth the frustration caused my its multiple shortcomings: Those include:
1. Very poor documentation. Out of date, incomplete and just wrong instructions.
2. Broken components. Auto-install, updating and spam score do not work.
3. Missing unsubscribe in header. Other email plugins include this vital component in sent emails. Without it, large mail services will ding your email as possible spam. The authors keep saying they will eventually add this. It is a long and painful wait.
4. Poor user interface. Even with the addition of the paid pro upgrade, user interface is plagued by bad English and poorly considered user experience. An example: Unsubscribe presents a user with a list of all available lists with no indication if the user is subscribed to any of them leaving the user puzzled about which lists he should choose to unsubscribe from.
5. Frustrating tech support. With the poor documentation, broken components and poor user interface, the last resort is email tech support. Tech support frequently fails to answer the questions asked of them and the days it takes going back and forth makes resolving issues time consuming and frustrating. An example: With updates seeming to fail, I asked what is the latest version and how do I update. Instead of answering either of these questions, they asked me to install another plugin to give them administrative access for a month.
I have about another 6 months on my pro purchase, but I am actively looking for other plugins to replace this one rather than endure the frustrations this one causes. It’s too bad. This plugin has a solid core, but authors really need to understand that they are terrible at comprehending the very bad user experience they have created.
