Powering a blog network

  • I’m considering switching from MT to WP to power a blog network, each on a unique domain name but sharing the same database. I should be able to cross-post stories from one blog to the other and users should be able to use their same logins across all sites.

    Is this possible? And is it somewhat easy?

    Ooops, had it backwards, yes.

    The database thing: It’s possible, yes. and if you are comfortable editing a couple files, yes, it’s easy enough. Are the sites on the same hosting account?

    Not sure about the login thing though, thats going to be a cookie issue, and WordPress has a fairly complicated cookie thing going on.
