Pre-date entries?

Hello,
this may be a silly question, but I’m new to all this and I couldn’t find any forum posts regarding this, so here goes:

I’d like to have one organisational post to always be shown on top of all the other posts. I have another non-wordpress blog and am used to simply pre-dating the entry to, for example, February, 1st, 2060, to make sure the post will always be the first to be seen by visitors.
I just cannot find a similar function here. Do I need a special plug-in to manually date the entries? Or am I missing something?
