    1. alert-me.php line 83 is enqueuing google fonts and personally i want nothing to do with google anything – can this line be commented out, and would you consider not including google fonts in a future version (perhaps by option)

    2. although the description says the plugin notifies subscribers of ‘updated’ content, it appears it works for new posts/pages as well – is this true?

    3. must subscribers register an account with the site via WP sign-up, or does the plugin use email addresses only?

    4. it doesn’t look like there’s a double opt-in feature or (non-google) captcha/challenge-response – is there any protection to prevent spammers/bots from abusing this?

    Hi @werdpres,
    Below are some answers to your questions. Hope this helps.

    1. Yes, this change could be something as an option, or not included at all in a future release.
    2. This plugin works on a per post/page basis, not site wide subscribe. If a visitor subscribes for update alert to one post, they can always subscribe to an update to a new post.
    3. Email addresses only.
    4. This could be something we implement in a future update ??
