    Hi there,

I’m using an external cron job to trigger the preloader. Since only 1 preloader is started at a time, I’m wondering if I have to set up the cron job to fire multiple times over a period of time.

Say I have all 4 preloader options checked. Do I still need to trigger them multiple times, 4 times a run or just once?

I want to understand the mechanics behind the preloader.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Simon

    – I don’t see why you will do that. If you have added menus, sitemaps in the preloader settings, once the preloader is started via cron job it will hit all the links mentioned in that list. You don’t have to start separate preloader for each link.

Oh, so that’s how it works. There is no point in running it multiple times then.

This came up because of how WP Fastest Cache has its pre-loader set up. About 4-6 pages/posts a run.

Thanks for the info. Will set it up accordingly.

    Hi @simonmanuel123,
The best way to test how preloader works are by just getting inside the plugin settings and enable the log mode (https://i.imgur.com/Wn2VmZ1.png). Then go inside the Advanced tab and run the preloader manually once (https://i.imgur.com/K6315oo.png).

Now, wait a couple of minutes until you see the preloader lock has been removed which means preloader running is done. Finally, go inside the Other tab and download the log (https://i.imgur.com/QSJIO3u.png). Once you open the log file you will see exactly how the preloader did its work.

    Hope this helps. ??
